About Me

NADINA POPOVICIU

Hi there! My name is Nadina, and I’m a Romanian-American writer and Orthodox Christian. I recently graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, double-majoring in Statistics and Decision Science, with a minor in Entrepreneurship and the honor of being a Swartz Innovation Scholar. I have traveled around the world, engaging in leadership conferences from Minnesota to Malaysia, partaking in service projects through my church and the International Orthodox Christian Charities, and exploring new places with family and friends. In my free time, I love reading, writing, cooking, working out, bouldering, going to church, and taking any opportunity to learn something new!

While I juggle my interests with my job and education, I still make efforts to stay in touch with my Romanian heritage, through language, culture, and history – which led me to write my first medieval fantasy novel, “A Return to the Ashes,” and its sequel, “In the Frigid Ruins,” as a tribute to the experiences of my family and myself, as well as a moral playground to expose the reader to new and varying ideas.
